  • How many guests can Pine and Poplar accommodate?
    • We offer 2500+ sq/ ft of interior space with capacity up to 130​ seated​.
    • Our newly completed patio area adds an additional 1000+ sq/ ft and can be tented for year round indoor/ outdoor events.
    • The Wine Feed Store and Bar can also be rented together with Pine & Poplar for a total event capacity of 225. Please contact us for details.​
  • What does it look like?
    • We offer a modern and inviting space with beautiful lighting. Our neutral color palette is ready for your color and theme inspirations. Check out our photos!
  • What all does my venue rental include?
    • The venue rental includes rental of the Pine and Poplar space, tables, and chairs.
  • What is the deposit to secure my date?
    • 50% of the total fee is required to secure your event date.
  • Does Pine and Poplar require a coordinator?
    • We do require a day of coordinator for your wedding. 
    • Ask us about our in-house services!
  • Can I provide my own caterer?
    • Absolutely–we love the food that you love! We have a staging and prep area for your caterer to use. Please note that all caterers must have a current business license and insurance, and are subject to final approval by our team. All documentation needs to be provided no later than 60 days before your event. Please have your restaurant or caterer contact us directly for questions and insurance coverage requirements.
  • Can I provide my own alcohol?
    • Pine & Poplar has an exclusive partnership with The Wine Feed to provide bar packages for your event. As they are event beverage experts, this provides you with access to better wine and beer options, at better prices, than anywhere else in Durham. We will work with you to pick the best wine and beer for your occasion. We can also help you create amazing signature ​drinks using wine, bitters, juices, and other tricks we have developed over the years!​
  • Are there decor restrictions?
    • We do not allow open flame candles – they must be enclosed. We also do not allow the use of confetti, glitter, or rice. Sparklers may be used, but only outside of the venue i.e. during couple’s exit.
  • Do you provide an A/V system?
    • Yes! Pine & Poplar offers a 150” projector screen and microphone that can be utilized for presentations. We are also able to provide background music through our overhead speakers upon request.
  • Does the venue provide parking?
    • You and your vendors will have the ability to park directly in front of the venue for loading purposes. As this is a shared lot, event guests will not be permitted to use the parking lot. We strongly encourage taking a ​t​axi/ Lyft/ Uber, as we are minutes away from all downtown hotels. A Durham County parking deck is also conveniently located directly across the street​.​
